Ethics –> BORING!
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009As far as I can remember, my Management and Accounting subjects introduced me to Ethics. All throughout the classes that had this topic, I just didn’t seem to mind. I found it senseless to study Ethics since I already know what is right from wrong. I don’t need to study it nor do I have to familiarize myself in situations wherein Ethics tests you. During quizzes or exams, I look forward to answering questions regarding Ethics. (BONUS!!)
Now, however, I am not sure if what I thought and did was right. I am in a situation wherein people around me do things far away from what I would answer in an exam. I think they know better.
I’m not washing my hands clean or anything. I’ve had my own share of poor-decision making. What I do is assess. I weigh in things — the just, the good, and the bad. If the bad prevails, I won’t do it. If the just or good does, I’ll do it.
In this situation I am in though, I think many problems could’ve been avoided. If you just put into practice what you’ve learned about Ethics, you wouldn’t have made me feel bad. So, people having classes about Ethics please do listen… and for crying out loud, LEARN!!!
