When i was younger, almost everybody would say that I looked a lot like my mother. True enough, when I saw pictures of my mom in her youth, I saw myself.

But now, I don’t think we look alike anymore..

One time while I was lying on my bed, my dad asked me if I wanted to go with them to my aunt’s place near Eden Nature Park. I said no since I was so tired and had to research on something for the next day. He then said, “Parati na lang kayo nakahiga bah, maglambot talaga katawan niyo.” (You’re always lying on bed, your bodies will soften) It was his way of telling me I’m lazy.The night after that, while I was fixing myself to go out, I told him that I would play Dota with my cousins and that mommy had already given me permission. He then told me, “Hindi na, mapuyat ka na naman. Mamatay ka talaga nyan bah” (No, you’ll be staying up late again. You’ll end up dead if you continue that) Out of anger, I told my dad that he said my body’s going to soften if I lay in bed all day, and now that I’m going out, he tells me that I’m going to die!

A few days ago, my dad struck once again! My sister was having a bad day and wanted to go out that night. My dad saw me getting ready and asked where I was going. I told him I was going out with my sister. He then told us that we shouldn’t bring the car because it was too dark. HUWAAAAT?? It was night time, what do you expect?

Whenever my dad wants me to do or not to do something, he makes up these weird excuses. I find it really irritating. As I think about it now though, I can’t help but laugh. hahaha
