Full Belly at Belly’s Grill
The third leg of the Davao Blogger’s Food Trip was at Belly’s Grill. I wasn’t able to join the 1st (Zakoya) and 2nd (Taj Minar) legs of the trip because of school. I was only able to join this lunch because I left early from a class.
I went with kuya Andrew and when we arrived, Ate Ria, Winston, Bbboy, Maita, and Tiara were already there. They had already ordered some appetizers - special kinilaw, sisig, and calamares. Sadly, they didn’t have the grilled scallops which is what I was looking forward to. Kuya Andrew and I didn’t eat sisig because we don’t like liver, but Ate Ria said it was good. I loved the calamares! Numnum..
After finishing the appetizers, we ordered some crispy hito, crispy pata, tuna belly, and ostrich steak. I really love eating crispy hito! Kuya Andrew, Bbboy, and I even ate one of it to the bones. The crispy pata is so deadly! The skin is crispy and salty, just the way i like it.
I didn’t like the tuna belly since I can taste the calamansi, but the others didn’t have the same opinion as I did and finished the whole thing. Kuya Andrew ordered the ostrich steak so that others could try it. It just tasted like beef though.
The service was also great. The waiters were able to serve us fast. They were able to acoommodate our every need.
I wasn’t able to stay to talk with the owner, Celine, since I still have a class. All in all, thumbs up to Belly’s Grill.
Belly’s Grill is open for lunch and dinner at Quirino Avenue corner Mabini Street, Davao City. They serve Mongolian Grill every Friday and Saturday for dinner.
