Honeybear
Another stop for the Davao Food Trip was Honeybear. Kuya Andrew, ate Ria, and I had already eaten there before and I wasn’t much excited about going back since I thought their food was ordinary but nonetheless, yummy. During the Davao Food Trip, however, the owner, Emmylou Yap, had already prepared their best meal for us.
I’m a cheese-lover so the first dish, Cheese Sticks, was the perfect beginning for the meal. It was crispy on the outside and well, cheesy on the inside. The chili dip that went with it was perfect for my mouth, whew! The Fish and Chips served after, was yet another yummy appetizer.
Then came the oh-so-many main dishes - Honeybear Fried Chicken, Beef Stroganoff, Sausage with Mashed Potatoes, Honey-coated Spare Ribs, Kare-Kare, and Bulalo Steak. My favorite among them was the Beef Stroganoff. The Beef Stroganoff was a perfect blend of my favorites - pasta, creamy gravy-ish sauce, beef, and MUSHROOM! For others though, the Honeybear Fried Chicken was their favorite. Kuya Migs was the ultimate fan of it! It had a unique taste and was perfectly cooked.
My favorite part of every meal - dessert! I wanted something to do with chocolate so I ordered Mud Slide. Ate Ria ordered Chocolate Sundae (boring, hehe) and Emmylou served us their best-seller, Yo! Ala Mode - warm fudgy brownie with vanilla ice cream on top!:D I can definitely understand why it is their best-seller. YUMMY!
Honey Bear is located along Quirino Avenue, Davao City.
